Update

We have lots of pictures we would like to post from the last 3 days, unfortunately we need to be connected to our VPN to access our blog and it keeps dropping every 2-3 minutes, not enough time to add pictures. We will try again tomorrow morning.

Wednesday we were able to tour the West Lake and take a boat ride to the largest island on the lake. Thursday we had no scheduled appointments, so after breakfast walked to a shopping mall (found a Starbucks for Jacob) and went to ToysRus. Maddux did really good in the toy store, but afterwards we went to KFC for lunch and had a major meltdown right in the middle of the restaurant. He cried his first tears - which we think may be a good thing, since we know he was taught at the orphanage that crying is bad and boys don't cry.

Maddux is doing great with Jacob, only okay with Jen. He had a couple hitting/kicking/throwing toys sessions, which we think we have under control now after repeated rounds of learning what the word no means in English and holding him until he is back under control (he doesn't really like this alot, but is what is recommended in the adoption parenting books we have been reading). Hopefully it is working, he was better today after a couple "time-ins" and went to bed after reading a book. He also didn't sleep much today and missed his nap as we were on our way back from the Lingyin Temples. We walked around alot and had one crazy cab ride - by far the scariest since we have been here. Think our cab driver just wanted to be rid of us!
