Sleepless in Wilmington

We are home! We arrived home safely on Friday night around 11PM Eastern time. We made our connection in Atlanta and all our luggage made it home safely. Maddux did great on the airplane, he only slept for about 4 hours of the 30 hour trip, but was fine the rest of the time, watching TV and some movies we brought, coloring and playing cards.

Today (Tuesday) is the first day that both Jacob and I are still awake and functioning after Maddux has gone to bed. The first night we got home, Maddux slept from midnight to 6AM. Then it went downhill...he woke up at 1:30AM on Saturday night, 3:30AM Sunday night and 3:45AM last night. Most nights we have been able to eventually get him back to sleep for at least a couple hours, but we have been awake alot! Today he was not able to sleep for his nap, so fingers crossed he will sleep all night!

Things at home are going well, a couple temper tantrums, but thinking most of these are related to lack of sleep and adjusting to the new time zone, new house, etc. He is doing great with the cats, and okay with the dogs. He likes to walk the dogs outside, but is less sure of them in the house. He doesn't run away from them, just doesn't want to get too close yet. Today we had our first beach day of the year - it was so nice here in the mid-upper 80s. Maddux loved the beach and we have some great pictures we will post in the next couple days - he even went in the water with Jacob and loved it!

Just a quick update tonight before we go to bed, more pictures, and hopefully some of the videos we took will be posted in the next couple days (as long as we keep sleeping more each night!)
