Goodbye Hangzhou, Hello Guangzhou

Yesterday we left Hangzhou to fly to Guangzhou. Maddux was excellent on the plane - hopefully will be just as good on the trip back to the US. We boarded the plane and then sat at the gate for over an hour (no idea why), we finally took off and Maddux went to sleep immediately after and slept until we landed!!!

When we arrived in Guangzhou, or guide warned us that the rooms at the White Swan Hotel were not very big. When we walked into our room, it is so much bigger than the last hotel we were in - actually has an area to spread out toys and play! There is also a great buffet breakfast, and a kids playroom here that we visited briefly this morning. Today we had a medical check for Maddux and a TB test. He did not like the TB test at all - but who does! His medical check all went fine, all the doctors kept commenting on how big he was and asking again his age. We are very glad now that the orphanage had the early pictures of him so we know even those his actual birthday is estimated, his age is not off by years (maybe only days or a couple months). Our guide and one of the nurses each have told us he is as big as a 5 year old - no wonder we are tired carrying him!

Our guide here also got us a stroller for free to use while we are here and that was great this morning! We are currently waiting on Papa John's pizza delivery to our hotel room - we are told it tastes like the US.

Tomorrow our guide is taking us shopping at a local Chinese mall and to the supermarket so we can buy some more water to drink. We are hoping to visit the Safari Park that is near here on Sunday.

Our final pictures of Hangzhou below - a couple more of the West Lake and a cement map they have in the sidewalk of the lake. Dairy Queen and Starbucks (by the way, I would not recommend the green tea blizzard). And for all the guys reading the forum, a couple pictures of the Rolls Royce and Lamborghini dealership in Hangzhou. And finally pictures to remember our hotel in Hangzhou.
