Guangzhou Safari Park

Sunday we went to the Safari Park - it is very large and divided into 2 sections - one that you ride a train through and see animals in a more natural environment. These pictures are first, the animals sometimes get very close to the cars as you can see from the pictures.

The second part is walking through a zoo-like area - we took lots of pictures, but just posted a few animals.

Also got our flights changed today, since our original flights home had us connecting through Tokyo. We were not able to get any earlier flights home, but at least are getting home at the same time. Now connecting through Detroit, which makes the first flight 14 1/2 hours - hope Maddux is ready (hope we are ready!!!). We have a 55 minute connection in Atlanta for our last flight, hoping we make it without too much running through the airport.

We had our US Consulate appointment today and get to pick up Maddux's visa tomorrow. That was our last official appointment! Tomorrow is our last day in Guangzhou, then we leave for Hong Kong. Will post some pictures of our hotel, the park and playground in Guangzhou later tonight or tomorrow at nap time - and also the famous red couch picture from the White Swan that we took today.

4 more days!!!!

  1. Awesome pictures of the zoo and your experience so far. Sound like things are going great and you are ready to come home at the end of the week. Seems like the time has flown by.
