Doctor's Appointment

Maddux had his long awaited doctor's appointment at UNC on Monday. It went really well - no follow-ups needed and Dr. said he is doing great. Any complications from his surgery that were done in China usually occur very early and he has been fine for over a year...yeay! Maddux did pretty well, had some tears as soon as we walked into the hospital and through getting weighed and measured. He did calm down while we waited for the doctor and was mostly okay while they looked at his tummy.

Wasn't all a bad day though - lunch at Mad Boar and dinner at Cheesecake Factory!

Happy 4th of July

Fun-filled 4th of July, with lots of "firsts" for Maddux. First bowling trip, first baseball game and first fireworks!

He loved the mascot at the baseball game more than the game itself I think.

Memorial Day 2011

Memorial Day in Virginia. Birthday parties at wai po and nai nai's house. First time in a pool - think he liked it! Now he wants a pool at his house too!

One year ago today we received Maddux's file to review. A year later a wonderful little boy is home with us - we are so lucky!

Maddux's Birthday Party

First Birthday Party (a couple days early). Don't the decorations look great - Jacob did them all! Maddux had a great time - loved the cake and the presents too!
